27 Oct THE BUSINESS OF LOCAL & REGIONAL ANIMATION CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

In keeping with the imperative to develop and diversify the economy of Trinidad and Tobago, a number of economic sectors have been identified to be frontrunners. These sectors differ among Caribbean islands but it is unanimously agreed, that in assessing the sectors for opportunities for growth and development, one of the industries identified is that of Animation. This proposal outlines a request for consideration to partner with the festival for a platform for discussion, networking and possible investment opportunities in the development of local animated content for the global stage.

This exercise will introduce the local business community to the lucrative opportunity regarding production, licensing and distribution of animated content and to promote and publicize the readiness
of the country as the path to developing this industry in the region.
