The trinidad+tobago film festival (ttff) celebrates films from and about the Caribbean and its diaspora, as well as from world cinema, through an annual festival and year-round screenings. In addition, the ttff seeks to facilitate the growth of Caribbean cinema by offering a wide-ranging industry programme and networking opportunities.
Animae Caribe Animation and Digital Media Festival is the Caribbean’s biggest and most prestigious animation festival, providing a platform for the development of animators, as well as the exposure of animation as a viable business. Since 2001, the Animae Caribe Festival has been bringing top animators to Trinidad and Tobago to present and host workshops for potential, novice and professional animators. The Festival is a platform to raise the awareness of animation and technology in the Caribbean. It continues to provide an outlet for innovative animators in the Caribbean to develop, expand and showcase their talents to a wider local and international audience.
The Green Screen Environmental Film Festival is a 6-year old event that screens educational documentaries, animation and narrative films about issues affecting Trinidad and Tobago, or of national interest. Green Screen also facilitates the development and exhibition of local film content that highlights innovative projects and leaders in the sustainability sector. As part of a focus on education, Green Screen produces workshops and seminars to support capacity building in communities and institutions that are keen to contribute to T&T’s environmental and economic sustainability.
